Students in Alexander Hall on Jackson State University's campus are back in their rooms Thursday after an early morning smoke scare caused a dormatory evacuation.  University officials say students were mixing chemicals on the third floor of the east wing of the dormatory, causing smoke to spill into the hallways around 4:30am.  There were no injuries and no reports of damage to the building have been released.  Officials say they can not speculate if the chemical was a bomb or if the incident was a prank, but FOX40 News has received unconfirmed reports from witnesses that the smoke was due to a chemical bomb.  Officials says University Police are investigating the incident and handling disciplinary actions.
